terhills hotel
Eisden, Maasmechelen (NL)
You don't visit Terhills Hotel, you experience it. An inspiring hotel located in the former main building of the mine in Eisden.
The building's neo-classical baroque style revives the industrial past a bit. Also details in the interior of Terhills Hotel bring the rich history to life. In the impressive stairwell you will find the restored stone staircase. Restaurant, bar, terrace and lounges are also decorated in a contemporary style, each with a subtle nod to the past.
The architecture and design of Terhills Hotel is done by Simoni Architects who have applied modern and clean lines within the neo-classical Baroque style building.
For this project, the architect opted for suitable flooring, custom-made tables, stairs and wall coverings in terrazzo Aggloceppo.
