Gorssel (NL)

Hans Melchers has commissioned Hans van Heeswijk architects to design the new museum for his collection of realistic paintings. MORE is the largest museum for Dutch Modern Realism. The museum is located on the Hoofdstraat in Gorssel, Gelderland. Construction started in the spring of 2013 and the museum opened on 2 June 2015.

The museum is housed in a new building at the former town hall of Gorssel, which was released at the end of 2012. The monumental part of the town hall dating from 1914 has been renovated and now serves as a museum café and auditorium.

The natural stone facade is a mix of French limestone.
